I always knew I wanted to work with children and families, and decided becoming a social worker was a great way to do that. I graduated college from Seattle Pacific University where I received my Bachelor Degree in Sociology. I then attended graduate school at the University of Chicago where I received my Master of Arts Degree in Social Work. I am a licensed independent clinical social worker in the States of Washington (since 2009) and Illinois (since 2007).
I have worked in the field of social services since 1999 as a caseworker for foster children, a child and family therapist for children and families involved in the child welfare system, and as an advocate for underprivileged and immigrant families. I have also worked for the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services and the King County Juvenile Court. Since 2005 I have worked as an adoption social worker completing adoption home studies and post-placement services.
I work with clients of all ages, races, creeds, sexual orientations, gender identities, and family structures. I have a passion for working with people, and couldn’t imagine a better job than helping others!
